Our story
More than a place to sleep
Amodhara was created around a simple idea: people come to Thimphu for many reasons, and most of them need more than a bed. They need a quiet room, a good meal, somewhere to meet or work — and a little help to see the country they have travelled to.
So we brought three experiences together under one roof. Comfortable accommodation. Productive spaces. And easy access to exploring Bhutan through partners we trust. Warm, modern and unmistakably Bhutanese — that is the Amodhara way.
The emblem
Layered hills, a warm welcome
Our emblem sets the flowing Ah monogram over soft, layered ridgelines — the folds of hills you see from every window in Thimphu. Bronze on sand, it carries the warmth we want every guest to feel when they arrive.
You will find those ridgelines throughout this website, and the three words that guide us beneath our name: stay, work, explore.
